Glastonbury Fayre

In the Summer of 1971 the Glastonbury legend was birthed when the organisers chose to try and create a festival that would be a forerunner for an 'different and also optimistic society'. The event incorporated Midsummer's Day, and in real middle ages tradition, the location of Worthy Farm, Pilton was given over to music, dancing, poetry, theatre, spontaneous home entertainment as well as nakedness.
