Gloomy Sunday

Budapest in the thirties. The restaurant owner Laszlo hires the pianist András to play with in his restaurant. Both men fall in love with the waitress Ilona who inspires. His song of Gloomy Sunday feared, because of its melody triggers off a chain of suicides and is , initially, loved. The delicate balance of this erotic trois is sent off kilter when the German Hans moves and falls in love with Ilona as well.
