The Pilot. A Battle for Survival

December of 1941, Northwestern Front. A German storage tank column is relocating towards Moscow. During a mission to stop the adversary advancement, Nikolai Komlev's IL-2 is rejected. Komlev handles to crash-land his airplane in a remote woodland clearing. He lives, but much from friendly territory. Ahead of him is an unrelenting trial of extreme physical as well as psychological endurance. After fighting hunger as well as severe cold, escaping packs of wolves as well as detachments of Nazi soldiers, the injured Komlev finally makes it back to safety and security. Yet there he deals with one more difficulty, the most life-altering of them all.
