14 That Night
Takashi, a disgruntled junior high student in1987, despises his uncool father, who is often lingering about his suburban home, and is harassed by want tobe gangsters in the neighborhood. He's more interested in Megumi, the bountiful-breasted girl next door. Takashi hears a rumor that porn actress Kyoko Yokushimaru is coming to town for an autograph session at the town's only video store, where Takashi and his judo pals frequent. Their absurd yet important journey begins. After all of the surprises and commotion, what will Takashi find? Shin Adachi, the Japan Academy Prize-winning screenwriter of 100 Yen Love, directs his first picture, which is reminiscent of adolescent classics like as Stand By Me.
