A Dangerous Game
When You've Been Trumped won an award, director Anthony Baxter followed American billionaire Donald Trump and a group of greedy people who want to turn some of the most important places on Earth into golf courses and playgrounds for the rich. People in Dubrovnik and Balmedie, a seaside town on the Croatian coast, are bullied by these tycoons, who influence governments, ignore local referendums, and even try to change national environmental policies in order to get their hands on their new prizes. Golf courses can be very bad for the land around them and for the water that comes from them. We learn this through in-depth interviews and Baxter's skillful storytelling. In this modern version of David and Goliath, the people who live there don't give up easily. This story is both funny and heartbreaking. But will they be able to keep their land and way of life safe?
