Aircraft Carrier Ibuki
The plot unfolds over the course of 24 hours. Twenty fishing vessels of unknown nationality attack and occupy portions of the Hateruma archipelago in the most southern portion of Japan. Japan Coast Guard personnel are detained. In response to the situation's heightened tension, the Japanese government dispatches the aircraft carrier Ibuki and an escort force to the vicinity. Ryota Akitsu (Hidetoshi Nishijima) and Toshiya Niinami (Kuranosuke Sasaki) are the captain and second-in-command of the aircraft carrier Ibuki, respectively. At 6:23 a.m., Japan faces a day it has never experienced before.
