Bleach: Hell Verse
Ichigo Kurosaki's school is attacked by strange spirits called Unforgiven (Togabito), demonstrated to have escaped out of Hell, and Rukia Kuchiki and Renji Abarai are shipped to explore. The Unforgiven, who are led by Shuren, also Ichigo's younger sister targets ichigo's family. An Unforgiven named Kokut? rescue Karin Kurosaki from being abducted as nicely, and convinces Ichigo to accompany him along with the Soul Reapers into Hell to save her. When they're attacked by creatures known as Kushan?da, the guardians of Hell, about the journey, Ichigo's Hollow mask starts to manifest. Kokut? warns him to avoid using his mask lest he lose hands and hollowfy completely, also informs him that the Kushan?da torture Unforgiven for their sins with killing them, as Unforgiven always animate, and that spirits murdered in Hell turned into Unforgiven themselves.
