In 1986, St. Louis was a city. For Chuck Berry's 60th birthday, Keith Richards puts together a band with Robert Cray, Joey Spampinato, Eric Clapton, himself, and Johnnie Johnson, who has played with Berry for a long time. Berry performs his classic rock songs with the help of Etta James, Linda Ronstadt, and Julian Lennon on stage at the show. During behind-the-scenes interviews with Bo Diddley, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bruce Springstein, the Everly Brothers, Roy Orbison, and more, they talk about his skills as a songwriter and musician. There is even a rare thing for Berry: a rehearsal. Video from the 1950s and a duet with John Lennon round out this portrait of a master.
