Colewell
In tiny Colewell, Pennsylvania, the citizens gather in the post office for mail and gossip, while the days pass tranquil and quiet. That is until news is that work is to shut and dear clerk Nora (a marvelous Karen Allen) has been made to fight on her occupation and reflect on the choices she's made that maintained her at Colewell for many years. Touching, with a hint of depression, Tom Quinn's eloquent film is the emotions that have nostalgia and memories previously and an ode to living. As anxieties look around her future and her past becomes more present, Nora says,"I really don't want to become lonely," but what that signifies is elusive. While giving distance to the best thing about time passing and reflecting about which determines a life well lived, America is gorgeously captured by colewell.
