Dead Stop
The desert can be a harsh environment. Temperatures soar past the century mark during the day, hot enough to stop a man in his tracks, and plummet below freezing at night, freezing the life out of him. It is teeming with feral and lethal wildlife. It's not a place you want to get lost in. Unfortunately, Todd and Josh, as well as their friends, have done just that. The group of teenagers and the pair of hitchhikers they've picked up on their way to a ski trip have taken a wrong turn and are now miles from civilization. It's often said that the desert's snakes, scorpions, coyotes, spiders, and other creatures are more afraid of humans than humans are of them. But in this case, these people have reason to be more than just scared. There is one wild creature in this part of the California desert that does not fear man. A colossal and ferocious beast that craves their flesh. It's potent. It's primitive. It's never-ending. It's also hungry.
