Something sinister has come to the shores of Erin Island, unbeknownst to the fishing village's quaint people perched someplace off Ireland's shore. Some anglers proceed lost. Then there is the rash of whale carcasses washing up on the beach. It's as much as two cops -- a alcoholic and his new partner, a woman from the mainland -- to protect the townsfolk from the giant, bloodsucking, tentacled aliens which predate upon them when the murders start. Their sole weapon, they all discover, is booze. If they would like to live the animals' throw, everybody might need to find very drunk!
