Heat of Desire
Throughout the near future, unrest and mayhem break out in France. Philippe Muphand, a politician on the right, is about to assume power when his girlfriend Caroline announces she is leaving him for the first fool she meets. The fool is Serge Laine, a professor and the author of the award-winning novel "Le voyage qui ne se termine pas," who is on his way to the railway station to purchase tickets to Barcelona, where he and his wife will spend a second honeymoon and where he will lecture at the university. Serge is seduced by Caroline, and he abandons his wife, family, job, and integrity in favor of Caroline, the romanticism of Jack London, and murder.
