Moondance Alexander
The curiously called, Moondance Alexander is just a spirited teen living with her mother. She's faced with another uneventful summer before she finds a pinto pony named Checkers who has jumped out of his paddock. Although the horse is returned by Moondance into his rightful owner, the gruff and mysterious Dante Longpre, she's convinced that Checkers is really just a winner jumper in disguise and is determined to help him realize his potential. Moondance manages to discuss Dante to coaching her and Checkers to the Bow Valley Classic and also despite the criticism of her peers. Discovers that individuality, loyalty and persistence could land you at the winner's circle.
