Protégé
Undercover officer Nick had spent the previous seven years infiltrating the heart of a drug ring, working his way up from a street dealer position to a managerial position handling cargo deliveries for Kwan, the largest player in the local heroin market. When the ailing Kwan appoints Nick as his protege, Nick cannot help but succumb to the lure of money and power, and he begins to act like a true drug trafficker. This, combined with Nick's affair with heroin addict Jane, causes Nick to become increasingly unsure of his true identity, eventually leading to a disastrous end.
