Styria
Inspired the 19th Century vampire narrative, by Carmilla by Sheridan LeFanu, STYRIA plunges the viewer into a world of fantasy and obsession. Back in 1989, Lara Hill (Eleanor Tomlinson), conveys her artwork historian father (Stephen Rea) to an abandoned castle across the Iron Curtain. By a car crash outside of the castle, appears the gorgeous and cryptic Carmilla. Lara secrets Carmilla in to the castle and the two have been drawn to an intoxicating relationship. But if Carmilla disappears, and people of town begin committing suicide, Lara's psychic wounds delve right to a living nightmare that absorbs the whole town of Styria.
