The Conductor
A violinist in a small Polish orchestra, whose husband runs the group, meets up with a world-famous symphony conductor while on a trip to the United States. It turns out that he was once in love with the mother of the violinist. The conductor, who is a bit of a hypochondriac, goes back to Poland to lead an orchestra in a small town. He also tries to get back together with an old lover by pretending that the violinist is her mother. Both personally and professionally, her husband doesn't like the conductor.
