The Island of Cats
Daikichi is a 70-year-old guy who lives on a small island in the Pacific Ocean. Tama, his cat, has been his companion since the death of his wife. In addition to spending time with his childhood friends, notably Iwao and Daikichi's cat Tama, Daikichi also likes peaceful days with his family on the small island where he was born and raised. Daikichi has a son named Tsuyoshi, who currently resides in Tokyo. Tsuyoshi is concerned about his father's well-being while he is alone on the island, but Daikichi is satisfied with his lot in life. Following the death of a close friend, Daikichi becomes concerned about his physical state. His day-to-day routine begins to shift. Based on the manga series "Neko to Jiichan," which means "Neko to Jiichan."
