Two Evil Eyes
Two terror segments depending on Edgar Allan Poe stories placed in and around the town of Pittsburgh. "The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar" concerns a cheating wife who's trying to scam her dying husband outside of millions by having her doctor/hypnotist lover hypnotize the geezer into registering his dough up to her. The old man dies while under hypnosis and is stuck in the limbo between the here and the hereafter. The door to the world is opened and also the undead attempt to enter it. "Black Cat" is the story of Rodd Usher, an alcoholic photographer/artist, who descends into insanity after he kills a stray cat which his live-in girl friend Annabelle attracts dwelling. 1 murder leads to the other, and also the cover ups that are intricate begin.
