Gary, and his friends that are in gaming, renaissance fairs and assorted unsavory vices, stumble upon a rare, medieval board game known as"13 Demons." They detect the game has a dark history and has been banned from most countries long past for strange and mysterious motives including inexplicable deaths credited to the match. The thing will be to free the Realm of Darkhaven from the 1-3 Demons of this Apocalypse. They chalk it up to urban legend and decide to playwith, what they don't really understand is that the Earth now walks. Slowly, the match consumes themseducing them into thinking they have been"The Golden Paladins," and so therefore are on a holy mission to save the environment. But when the news reveals a number of deaths brought on by tree branches, base ball bats, hammers, etc. . assailants adorned within body armor, then the thin line between fantasy and reality is destroyed as well as the horrible realization that they are in way over their heads places in.
