15 Février 1839

In 1839, several months after the revolt of the Patriots was put down by the British troops, hundreds of rebels are left to languish in prison. On the morning of February 14, Marie-Thomas Chevalier De Lorimier and Charles Hindelang find out that they and three other companions will be executed by hanging within the next twenty-four hours. During the time that they have left before their execution, the condemned spend time with loved ones and friends, speak with them about their final wishes, and hand over their wills to them. At first light, the five Patriots summon the strength to take a solemn step toward the scaffold, certain of the fact that they are about to give their lives for a cause that is righteous. www.tribute.ca
