Break Up

Jimmy is married to Frank, who is abusive, but she is saving money so that she can leave him one day. She's been deaf for a year as a result of one of his beatings, which happened last year. He pushes her over the stairway one night, and she ends up in the hospital as a result of the incident. Police seek to speak with her when a burnt body in her husband's car is found from a pond. She flees to her sister's house, where she loses her savings pass-book and later discovers that someone has stolen her money from her bank account. She flees the scene, with the same police officers on her tail, and soon discovers that Frank may not be dead after all.
