He can see ghosts thanks to a homemade drug: his father's medication for neurological problems mixed with pot. On the trail of a serial killer, Officer Jayson Tagg wants to be a super cop. He ends up being killed. So when Marbles' mother wants to sell the family farm, and the only way to buy the house from her is to take the money Tagg is giving Marbles in exchange for his help. Marbles agrees to it. This is an unusual pairing: a stoner medium and a ghost cop who works for the police. As they go through a lot of scary things and people who want to touch them, they try to work things out. The only way Marbles and Tagg will be able to solve the case with their souls intact is if they face their deepest regrets and overcome their prejudices, so they must do that.
