Fighting For The Motherland 1162

The Jurchen Jin ruler Wanyan Liang intended to conquer the Southern Song dynasty in 1161. The severe recruitment policy and the harshness of the Jin made life difficult for the residents of the Central Plain. At the age of 21, Xin Qiji led an uprising of villagers to fight against the Jin army, and later, under Geng Jing's command, he joined a more powerful voluntary army that racked up victory after victory.
