Joey Wellman, an American cartoonist from Cleveland now mostly neglected in the house, visits France with his companion Lena to attend an exhibit in Paris regarding the comic strip (bande dessinée) which includes his work. He also intends to be resolved with his little girl Elsie who has been a student in Paris for 2 years, in trip from the American culture of which she sees her dad as a typical example.
