Jan Dara: The Finale

Based on a Thai novel, the film tells the story of Jan, a boy that grows up in a house lorded over Luang Wisnan, with his debauched daddy. Place in the 1930?s the narrative recounts the growing distress of Jan, whose mother dies while giving birth to him and who's intensely hated by his daddy. Jan grows up with Aunt Wad, his stepmother, and he struggles to reconcile his sexual guilt and unhappiness with various women in his lifetime, including a girl called Hyacinth, whom he adores, and after Madame Boonleung, his daddy's enthusiast who becomes a key to Jan's sexual awakening.
