The film's plot revolves round Kanthasamy (played by Vikram), who is a Income Tax officer at the CBI, and his pals, granting the fantasies of this needy who write letters to a local Lord Muruga temple by devoting herself as an anthropomorphic chicken. During a CBI income tax raid, he discovers a bunch of black currency possessed by Ponnusamy (played by Ashish Vidyarthi), a rich and tainted entrepreneur. Ponnusamy has been paralysed to escape the. Angered by the fact that her father was paralysed, Ponnusamy's daughter, Subbulakshmi (played by Shriya Saran) goes later Kanthasamy to seek revenge by pretending to be inlove . Kanthasamy, knowing Subbulakshmi's real intentions plays along in the match. This creates a cat and mouse chase between both.
