It's a comedy. The story is about a young scientist in the modern world who came from the world of dwarves thanks to a magic potion held by the Big Eater, the ruler of the dwarves. Shuflandia is the kingdom of dwarfs. It is in the basement of a library, and only the most obedient dwarfs get to grow big enough to become kings and live in the larger world. Once there, nobody wants to go back to Shuflandia. And there are no women in Shuflandia.
