Love's Whirlpool

At a fancy condo in Tokyo's Roppongi nightlife district, four women and 4 men gather from midnight. They've all paid to be there (men more than women), plus they've just 1 thing in common--they all hunt unidentified sex. Using no names, they are known only by these types: freeter (temp or parttime worker), mild-mannered salaryman, duplicitous OL (office lady), self-conscious working class factory worker, perfectionist educator, seasoned pervert, timid NEET ("not in education, training or employment") and timid faculty student. Together, they unravel their identities at a nighttime of debauchery. Daisuke Miura's version of the critically acclaimed 2005 drama of the identical name explores Japan's fuzoku (sex industry) with depth, humor and free wheeling indecency. This sensual surprising and upsetting film features performances by Mugi Kadowaki and Sosuke Ikematsu, who are tempted to mix love with sexual activity.
