Machuca

Santiago, capital of Chile through the government of contentious that is elected president Salvador Allende. Father McEnroe affirms his leftist viewpoints by introducing a program at the prestigious"collegio" (Catholic prep school) St. Patrick to allow free entrance of some proletarian kiddies. One of them is slum-raised son of the cleaning lady at Gonzalo Infante home, Pedro Machuca. Yet the brand newest classmates get friends, as Gonzalo gets paradoxically protesting adopted by gang and Pedro's slum family. But that is not spoilt by the adults not at least when Pinochet's coup ousts supporters such as McEnroe, also Allende.
