Monster Beach

When two children - Jan and her brother Dean - are sent to live with their dropout uncle, Woody, a routine summer vacation becomes problematic. It should be the epitome of paradise: a remote island, incredible surf, and a laid-back adult in control. What could possibly be better? But why is this town so devoid of life? What is causing the town to be overtaken by forest, and what are those strange noises emanating from the beach? After discovering that the inhabitants are in fact surf-crazed monsters who are not fond of tourists, the horrific truth is revealed to them. At least, not at first. A raging property developer comes into town and completely transforms the landscape. Rivalry between siblings and genetic differences are suddenly put to the side as everyone joins forces to rescue the peculiar small land they've all come to know and love.
