Becca, Adam, and their 5-year-old daughter Acie are the picture of perfection until their father is killed in a horrific accident at a Fourth of July celebration. Becky decides to leave the family farm and all its memories since she is struggling with sadness. She leaves Acie in the care of her grandfather Ben and pays a visit to her school buddy June. June, with the greatest of intentions, provides Becky with plenty distraction from her family life. Becky begins drinking and making other self-destructive decisions, fueled by her wrath at G*d and loss of faith. Then, following Becky's incarceration, Ben threatens to detain Acie until Becky regains her composure. Becky's faith is restored and she reunites with her family after a fortuitous encounter with a traveler in a bus stop.
