Natasha

It is set over the course of one summer in the story Natasha. In it, we follow the narrative of Mark Berman,16, who is the son of Russian-Jewish immigrants who grew up in the suburbs of Toronto's northern suburbs. When his uncle gets into an arranged marriage with a woman from Moscow, the woman and her fourteen-year-old daughter, Natasha, travel to Canada to live with his uncle. Mark, a slacker, is compelled by his parents to assume responsibility for the weird young lady they have brought home. He discovers that she had had a tumultuous and promiscuous life while living in Moscow. A forbidden and secret romance emerges between the two of them, which has odd and devastating implications for everyone engaged in the relationship.
