Nostalgia

The poet Andrei Gorchakov, followed by translator and guide Eugenia, is travel through Italy researching an 18th-century Russian composer's life span. In an ancient spa town, he also and the lunatic Domenico, who years earlier had imprisoned their own family in his house for a long time to rescue them against the evils of the earth meet. Seeing some truth that is deep in Domenico's act, Andrei becomes interested in him. In a succession of fantasies, the poet nostalgia for his homeland and his longing for his spouse, his ambivalent feelings for Italy along with Eugenia, along with his own sense of kinship with Domenico become intertwined.
