Raising the Wind

Gerald Thomas, the director of 'Carry On,' directs this comedy caper that features early appearances by James Robertson Justice, Sid James, Leslie Phillips, Kenneth Williams, Liz Fraser, and Eric Barker. The film follows the exploits of a group of music students who move into a shared flat to save money and have a place to practice their instruments. When Mervyn Hughes (Phillips) inadvertently sells one of his compositions to an advertising agency, he risks losing his scholarship. Can he and his friends raise enough money to repurchase the song rights?
