Saving Mbango

Saving Mbango is a drama focused on the life of a young boy (John) who ends up being the breadwinner for his family, which is characterized by extreme dysfunction. Because of his turbulent and tumultuous familial background, he is unable to pursue his objectives and ambitions fully. Mbango is a country girl who falls in love with John despite the fact that her life is filled with difficulties that make John's seem insignificant. John's entire life gets even more tense as a result of this. He finds himself divided between managing his broken family and preserving the woman who has become his lifelong companion. He is constantly harassed by his aggressive and alcoholic father, his reckless older brother, and his cruel unmarried sisters, and he finds himself in a difficult situation. In this film, directed by multiple award-winning Director Nkanya Nwai, a rural hamlet in Cameroon's South West region is the setting for the action, which takes place in Mondoni.
