Jackie Moon is the Proprietor promoter, Trainer, and star player of This Flint Michigan Tropics of Their American Basketball Association (ABA). Back in 1976 before the ABA collapses, the National Basketball Association (NBA) intends to merge together with all the top teams of the ABA at the end of the season. Just the major four teams could get the move and the hardest teams will fold. The Tropics would be the worst team in the league and Jackie Moon must rally his team and start winning should they want to make the journey into the NBA. The only problem may be the simple fact that Jackie Moon is not really the coach and star basketball player he believes he could be. Leave his own mark in the metropolis and to keep his team, Jackie Moon has to inspire his team acquire fourth place.
