Spellbound

When Dr. Anthony Edwardes gets to a Vermont mental hospital to restore the incoming hospital director, Dr. Constance Peterson, a psychoanalyst, discovers Edwardes is really an impostor. The person confesses that the true Dr. Edwardes is dead and fears he could have murdered him, but cannot recall such a thing. Dr. Peterson, nevertheless is convinced his impostor is innocent of the person's murder, and joins him on a search to unravel his amnesia through psychoanalysis.
