The Departure

An in-depth look at Ittetsu Nemoto, a former punk rocker who became a Buddhist priest because he couldn't figure out what to do with his life. For saving the lives of a lot of people who were about to kill themselves, he is very well-known in Japan. However, Nemoto is approaching middle age with his own wife and young son when he finds that his life is at risk from heart disease, which is exacerbated by the enormous emotional burden of caring for others who no longer want to live. Is he strong enough to save himself when it takes so much to help others?
