The Good Guys and the Bad Guys

About to be retired, an aging lawman, marshal Flagg, hears his old nemesis, the outlaw McKaye, is in the region and arranging a robbery. Riding out to search down McKaye, Flagg is captured from McKaye's gang and realizes that McKaye is no longer this gang's first choice, but is still recognized as only a aging relic by the newest president. Waco orders Mackaye to shoot Flagg, when Mackaye refuses Waco abandons them. Flagg then takes Mackaye back to town only to get out he has been"retired", and when he sees clueless and incompetent the new marshal and the town fathers are, he persuades Mackaye that it's all up to the both of them to stop Waco along with his gang from ravaging the town.
