Dawn prepares to complete her elderly year of senior high school when her neglectful, party-loving mommy is tragically killed, compeling Dawn to go to cope with her aunt Jamie that co-pastors a church with her spouse, Willem. However, not long into her stay points go extremely wrong, and Dawn runs away. When Dawn's Aunt Jamie understands her house was not the safe-haven she believed it was, she embarks on a bold look for Dawn. Dawn, having no foreknowledge of the streets, is easy victim for a two-bit road hustler, succumbing to his well-rehearsed flattery. She is tempted into a life she could never have actually envisioned for herself. Jamie discovers of her dilemma and also comes to be extra determined than ever before to rescue her, in spite of Dawn's need to range herself.
