Aladdin
Aladdin is a animated television series created by Walt Disney Television which aired from 1994 to 1995, based on the first 1992 feature. It was animated at the Slightly Offbeat Productions Studios in Penrose, Auckland, New Zealand. Where that installment left off, together with Aladdin living in the palace, participated to spunky and amazing Princess Jasmine coming on the heels of this direct-to-video movie The Return of Jafar, the series picked up. "Al" and Jasmine went together into peril among sorcererscreatures, creatures, thieves, plus much more. Monkey side-kick Abu, the revived magic-carpet, and the fast-talking, shapeshifting Genie came along to help, as did complaining parrot Iago Jafar's pet but currently an antihero. Jafar, having previously been destroyed from the next movie, returns in one incident which also serves as a crossover with Hercules: The Animated Series.
Many of the films' stars supplied the listeners of these television counterparts, with the exclusion of Dan Castellaneta. Unlike the tiny Mermaid spin off series, this series does not feature any music numbers.
The series aired on the The Disney Afternoon block and on Saturday mornings on CBS. Before it was replaced by their own pre teen lineup disney Channel reran the show at the late-1990s. The series was later shown on Toon Disney, but has ever been removed.
