Candy Candy

Candy Chocolate is anime series, manga, and actually a novel. The most important personality, Candice"Candy" White Ardlay can be a blond girl with freckles, large emerald green eyes and long, frizzy hair, dressed in pig tails with bows. Candy Candy first appeared at a prose novel by famous writer Kyoko Mizuki at April 1975. The magazine Nakayoshi became interested when Mizuki and manga artist Yumiko Igarashi joined forces. The series had been serialized as a manga series in the magazine for four decades and won the 1st Kodansha Manga Award for sh?jo at 1977. The story has been adapted into an anime series by Toei Animation. There are several Candy Chocolate films which were never published outside of Japan.
