Clubhouse
For first time, Pete Young takes a risk - probably the risk of his own life - if he applies for and lands his dream job. The issue is that his mum, Lynne has. Until now, he has been the golden boy while his rebellious older sister, Betsy, has always been in the doghouse. Pete attends a Catholic high school that is stern where he hangs out with his best friend, Mike, who hopes to profit on his friend's new position in life. Pete becomes part of a family that includes Conrad Dean, star third baseman and the team captain and a few of the boy's all-time idols, who chooses the role of an elderly brother. In the club house are Lou Russo, Pete's manager, a gruff but reasonable equipment manager who becomes a much-needed father figure. Carlos Tavares, a rookie who thinks that Pete is his good luck charm, and Jose Marquez, '' the Empires' mind batboy. Pete is in being a portion of his team as he faces the moral dilemmas and curve balls that are thrown his 40, but life needs to balance in home and life in the big leagues.
