Everglades

The Everglades is a American crime-adventure television set which aired for one season from 1961 -- 62 and at reruns at syndication. Ron Hayes starred as '' a law enforcement officer of this Everglades that was fictional, Constable Lincoln Vail County Patrol who traveled the Florida Everglades in an airboat, a vehicle which was the attention of the program. Hayes, stuntman and a California actor, was an avid outdoorsman and conservationist. Gordon Casell appeared as Chief Anderson in five of the 38 episodes, Vail's superior. Steve Brodie created three appearances. Dan Chandler was double cast as Vail's sidekick, airboat guide Pete Hammond. Future film star Burt Reynolds appeared double at the role of Lew Johnson and once as Trask. Guest celebrities comprised R.G. Armstrong, Victor Buono, Roger C. Carmel, Paul Carr, Jack Cassidy, Lonny Chapman, John Doucette, Penny Edwards, Frank Ferguson, Luke Halpin, Douglas Kennedy, Robert Knapp, Paul Lambert, Tyler McVey, Mala Powers, Chris Robinson, Johnny Seven, Ray Teal, Bill Travers, along with Dawn Wells. Ivan Tors produced the show and dispersed by Artists.
