Heartland
Heartland was an Australian television drama series that ran on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. It starred Cate Blanchett along with Ernie Dingo and conducted for ten episodes. The series was known as Burned Bridge in some countries.
Heartland addresses the puzzle surrounding the doubts regarding the guilt of her boyfriend, who is arrested for the murder along with the departure of an Aboriginal girl. It is also a love story of the people their relationship that is climbing has to survive from the white and black communities along with the different backgrounds, attitudes and cultures' barriers. Set at a small coastal town against the turmoils of murder, mystery and love, Heartland follows the people from this beachfront community as well as their struggle to restructure their particular way of life. Their struggle to restore their self-esteem despite the barriers in their course, to get a long run that is positive.
Storyline elements revolve around Elizabeth Ashton, a writer coming in a small coastal community's personality. A level of suspicion exists towards the novice who is ignorant of any underlying racial anxieties. This naivety lets Aborigine Vincent Burunga to be readily befriended by her. Into this mix is the authorities Phil McCarthy who seeks Ashton's affections whilst being hostile to her friendship with Burunga, maybe not as a rival suitor, but as a result of bias.
