Hillside

Hillside is a Canadian-American teen drama that aired on YTV in Canada from 1991 to 1993. In the U.S., it was called "Fifteen." John T. Binkley made and produced the show, which was Nickelodeon's only teen soap opera. Like other daytime dramas, the show was shot on videotape. The show was first made up on the spot as Fifteen for The Disney Channel, where a 13-episode pilot was made and tested in the U.S. After Disney decided not to move forward with the project, Nickelodeon and Canadian partners joined Binkley to make the show, which was called Hillside in Canada for the first and second seasons and Fifteen in the U.S. for all 65 episodes. After that, the show was broadcast around the world, including in Germany and Israel, among other places. During its four-season run, the show's large ensemble cast went through many changes. Members of the cast like Laura Harris, Enuka Okuma, and Ryan Reynolds stand out.
