Laid-Back Camp

Camping by herself at the foot of Mount Fuji is Rin Shima's idea of the greatest way to spend her time off, in contrast to the belief that most teenage girls have that a luxurious trip with their families is the best way to spend their time off. She has never relied on anybody else for anything, from setting up her tent to collecting firewood, and she has no plans to ever leave her own small world of solitude. When the lost Nadeshiko Kagamihara is forced to take refuge in Rin's campground, what begins as one of Rin's typical camping sessions strangely ends up as a pleasant surprise get-together for two people. Nadeshiko's intentions were derailed when she ended up falling asleep en route to her destination, which caused her to miss out on the opportunity to witness the breathtaking panorama of Mount Fuji for herself. Since she was by herself and had no other options, she decided to ask the only other person in the area for assistance. In spite of the haste with which they initially introduced themselves to one another, the two young women decide to spend the freezing night together, eating ramen and chatting while the bonfire keeps them warm. And even after Nadeshiko's sister eventually picks her up later that night, both girls discuss in silence the prospect of going on another camping trip together in the future.
