The Moon Embracing the Sun

Heo Yeon Woo, the thirteen-year-old daughter of a high-ranking official, goes to the royal palace with her mother to celebrate her brother Heo Yeom's success in the civil service exams. She meets Crown Prince Lee Hwon by coincidence. Yeon Woo is chosen as the Crown Princess of Joseon after they fall in love. The Dowager Queen kills her in secret before they may wed in order to consolidate her own power. Yeon Woo is cursed and falls ill as a result of the spell. Everyone, even the Crown Prince Lee Hwon, believes she is dead. He's too broken to love anyone else. After eight years, the young king meets Wol, a shaman.
